Layne's therapists use an i-pad with her all the time with the School for the Deaf and the Blind. We have one and it is a very popular item in the household among all of us. Luke can usually be found toting it around the house, turning on his own apps and playing games, etc. This morning, like most, he walked out of my room with it was playing some preschool games. I decided to let him for a while, then give Layne a turn with her apps. The top picture is Luke's reaction when I told him that his turn was over, and the bottom is Layne busy in hers. They could make a great advertisement for Apple. Layne has to get right down by the i-pad to see it well and hear it, but that doesn't bother her. Good thing she's super flexible -- and yes, that is her foot up by her head. She loves to use her feet on the i-pad too. That is also her drool. Good thing the i-pad can take it. Luke calmed down after half an hour or so (and the offer of snacks). I don't know how we would survive without bribery!
Luke - I hope you get to enjoy sharing more soon. It is hard, but the preschool kids are much better at getting their work done when they get rewarded with playing on the ipads. We have 3 and it doesn't matter. Unless we had 1 for each kid it wouldn't be enough.
