These first few shots are a personal joke between Jared and I and the hunting enthused members of the community that we live in. WE are NOT hunters, don't profess to be, and have no intentions of becoming ones. It seems like everywhere you go here, from church to Jared's office, people are always touting pictures of themselves and their latest big kill. Scary. Even the women take shots of themselves with dead deer and the like. It's a bit comical. Anyway, I joked with Jared that he should let me take some pictures of him with our tree that he cut down for Christmas, considering it his whatever-point buck of sorts, so here he is, with our trophy tree from 2011!
The picture of Layne a some of her first successful attempts to spoon-feed herself. She doesn't understand the idea of feeding herself with utensils yet. She still thinks that food is meant to be tossed off of the spoons, so we are working with her --slowly -- so that she will get the idea. It's a process, but as most things are with her, it will come in time. She sure was proud of herself though!
Way to go Jared & Layne! I am not sure who is more proud . . . You both have some amazing feats that you performed.
