Patience and Faith

For those of you unfamiliar with our garage, here it is ... at it's best.
Really.
We decided that enough was enough, and we cleaned it up as best as we could. Here's the result.
Tonight while reading scriptures, we read about how the Lord tries His peoples' patience and their faith. Koria replied, "Just like when we cleaned the garage today, right? That was testing our patience AND faith!"
Jared just told me that while he was fixing up their bikes this aftenoon, he mentioned to Kimball that he found a needed screw driver. Kimball's response?
"Yes, Daddy! The screwdriver of awesomeness!"
They've promised to be both "reverent" and "quiet," in their own words, tomorrow at church. That way they get to do their latest hit activity, play board games with us. We hope they succeed ... at both.

  1. Awesome garage. Your kids come up with the darndness things. They are a laugh a minute. I've always been a little short on both patience and faith. Guess I need to work on them..

  2. WOW! The garage really does look improved since I was there. I had no idea that you owned the "Screwdriver of Awesomeness" though. Maybe you have the matching "Hammer of Wonder" and the "Pliers of Plenty". I hear they come as a deluxe set from the local Walmart store. Maybe if you haven't gotten them yet Koria would go with you because shopping is so calming for her.

  3. I look at the comment above and the word really is "d a r n d n e s s". Sorry it doesn't look right. Looks like another word which I wouldn't say infront of your kids. Ha Ha!

  4. How about darndest Mom?

I think you like to make up words like the little kids do. Mom says the darndest things.
