Zermatt Resort, Heber City, Midway, and Park City

Once a year during the summer, we make our annual pilgrimage to Heber Valley to stay in some kind of a resort while Jared attends business meetings. It's an amazingly beautiful area (one of my personal favorites in Utah) and we take advantage of it. I frequent a lot of local parks while Jared is in meetings, we swim in the pool (this year we stayed at the Zermatt Resort in Midway) which has a waterfall that flows hot water into the indoor hot tub, bordered by the indoor swimming pool that has a tunnel through which you can swim that leads to the outside pool, also complete with it's own hot tub. The ceiling was even painted to look like the sky above. Here's a few shots to show you what the grounds and buildings look from the outside.
Although you may think that it's luxurious, just imagine trying to control two high-energy five-year-olds and two 23-month-olds for the majority of a day, either in a hotel room, in restaurants, outside in parks, and in the car .... and all this after you've already done that for five days somewhere else other than home ....
We returned home on Friday afternoon. Steph, Trevin, and Abby beat us here by a couple of hours and we enjoyed their stay with us. They took off Sunday around 4 p.m.
I had to head back up to Provo though on Saturday as we had purchased a new t.v. stand to go with our new t.v., and we got it on a "scorchen' clearance"as they are better known as in the Black household.
I got back around 7 p.m. on Saturday night, then wrote a girl's camp skit and worked on a Gospel Doctrine lesson until around 1 a.m. I typed up the skit for the better part of Sunday morning (happy birthday to me) and then we headed to church. Jared had an early start with High Council meetings at 6 a.m., then church, then more meetings afterward. Busy day, but good. Glad my lesson on the Crucifiction is all done...
sorry ....
just got a call from...
...the Gallup Poll ....
...bonus on my night ....
Alright. That took about 10 minutes. The kids and Jared just walked in from their end of the season T-ball game. They got awesome trophies. More to come on that at a later date.
I'm outta here!
