Yard work

Yes, I haven't posted all week. The pictures above explain why. We are currently working on various outdoor projects in our yard. This past week, we've continued the garden prep (spreading out the manure of last week), worked some more on the new island that we are making in the back yard (lots of dirt moving, leveling, edging border put in place, etc, and work on the floor bed surrounding the house itself. It's a process. First we have to move all of the rocks out, then throughly weed, then lay down weed prevention tarp. After the tarp has been staked down, the rocks need to be put back on. I also decided to make a ringed border around our flowering pear tree in the bed itself. After all of this preliminary work is done, we will cover the tarp with either rock or wood chips. We are hoping that this will make weeding a lot easier for years to come.
