I hope I'm right on the dates. If not, at least the day of the week is correct. We drove to Cook's house (aka Sister Cook, Catherine, Catherine the Queen, Oganche, etc.) late on Thursday night. After a night of pretty much no sleep for me and the babes, we woke up to the news of a giant tsunami in Japan. Several of you texted or called to make sure that we were not on the beach that day .... no worries ... no giant waves. We did, however, drive along the Pacific Coast Highway (or PCH) toward Long Beach, then up through Malibu and on to the Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills area. We took a stroll down Sunset Blvd, and meandered through the middle of downtown L.A. on our way back to our last afternoon in Disneyland. We were not in a rush to get there, so around 3:00 p.m., we headed back in for some more of the best of the rides. Pirates of the Caribbean was definitely the best suited for all of us. Luke and Layne loved it as much as the rest of us. Luke started tugging at Jared or my arm hairs during the ride, as if we were his new blankie. It was great.
Here's a view of Sunset Blvd ...
A view driving through Malibu ... we told Koria that it's part home to Barbie...
A beautiful lookout spot just minutes from Cook's house of the Pacific Ocean there in Redondo Beach.
It looks like Layne could care less about the pictures . . .what great shots of the beach. I am impressed that most of you are still smiling at this point in your trip. Super Mom & Super Dad do it again!
ReplyDeleteYou look like you were glad to get out of the car for a minuetel Layne looks just like she wants to get down and play.
